Morena Silva de Vaz Setta Baccarin is a Brazilian actress. She is known for playing Vanessa, the love interest of Ryan Reynolds’ character, Deadpool, in the movie of the same name.

Morena Baccarin was born into a showbiz family. She was born on June 2, 1979, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Vera Setta and Fernando Baccarin.
Her father is a journalist and her mother, like her, is an actress.
Baccarin made her acting debut when she was only six years old, for a TV special directed by her grand-uncle, who is a theatre director in Brazil.
She attended Public School 41 and New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies. After, she attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
Later, she entered the theater program at the Juilliard School, where she was in the Drama Division’s Group 29.
