Dr. Stanley Liu, MD – Palo Alto, CA

I am an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Stanford School of Medicine, in the Division of Sleep Surgery. I direct the Stanford sleep surgery fellowship program.

I am a Stanford Biodesign Faculty Fellow from 2018.

I completed my training in maxillofacial surgery at UCSF, followed by a fellowship in Sleep Surgery with Dr. Robert Riley and the Department of Otolaryngology at Stanford.

I provide comprehensive evaluation and surgical treatment for patients with sleep-disordered breathing / obstructive sleep apnea. My scope of sleep surgery includes nasal, soft palate, tongue-base, facial skeletal operations (maxillomandibular advancement - MMA, maxillary expansion - DOME, genioglossus/genioplasty advancement), and hypoglossal nerve stimulation.

I also provide care of patients with acquired or congenital facial deformity (orthognathic surgery, major facial fractures). In that capacity, I also serve as a preceptor to the Stanford oculoplastic surgery fellowship.

I have given keynote talks and grand rounds at national and international conferences and institutions, across disciplines.
